As Co-Chair of the Communications and Marketing Committee, Joan brings over 35 years of diverse professional experience in the medical device industry, with a strong focus on marketing, leadership, recruitment, education, and business development.
Joan’s career in healthcare began with her enlistment in the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman, eventually becoming a licensed nurse. A dedicated single mother, she raised her daughter on Long Island, where she developed a deep commitment to nonprofits focused on women’s empowerment and supporting underserved communities.

Her passion for service has been reflected in various board positions, and she proudly served as a Girl Scout Leader for 11 years and Gold Award Mentor for 3 years.
