2019 Grant Process

For the second year of IMPACT 100 MARTIN, the 29 members
of the Grants Committee, on behalf of the entire membership,
accepted grant applications for all fields of interest with no
restrictions on focus areas.
The Grants Committee used a grant application process
with three phases:

Phase 1 – All nonprofit organizations in the area were invited to
submit a three page letter of intent (LOI) describing a
compelling program or project that addresses a critical
problem or need in Martin County.
Seventy-eight participants from 57 organizations
attended the workshop held in January to learn about the
LOI and grant process, resulting in 36 LOI submissions.

Phase 2 – Eight organizations were selected to submit full grant
applications and conduct site visits: Boys & Girls Clubs
of Martin County, Education Foundation of Martin
County, Florida Oceanographic Society, Hibiscus
Children’s Center, House of Hope, Light of the World
Charities, Tykes & Teens and YMCA of the Treasure

Phase 3 – Three finalists were selected to present their proposals to
the entire membership-at-large to vote on at the April
Grant Awards Celebration. The organization with the
most votes receives the Impact Grant for 2019.
