A Call to Nature: Launching the Impact100 Martin Nature Club
Following the success of our Impactful Conversations – Environment, Preservation, & Recreation event, Impact100 Martin is thrilled to introduce a new way to connect with our community’s commitment to conservation: the Impact100 Martin Nature Club! This new club invites our members and guests to step out of the meeting room and actively explore all that Martin County is doing to protect and preserve our precious environment.
Join us for our inaugural excursion at the C-44 Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) wetlands in western Martin County. On Saturday, December 6th, 12:45 pm – 5 pm. This is located approximately two miles east of SR 710 on SW Citrus Boulevard, for an afternoon dedicated to wildlife observation.
The C-44 STA wetlands are a vital and thriving habitat, offering an incredible place to witness dozens of bird species in their natural element. You’ll have the chance to spot majestic Snail Kites, brilliant Roseate Spoonbills, Wood Storks, and a vast array of herons, egrets, ducks, and migratory shorebirds.
Whether you’re coming as an amateur photographer or an interested bird watcher, we have a spot for you. Our group will have a private, knowledgeable volunteer guide who will lead a focused tour, providing expert insight and ensuring you don’t miss any of the unique species.
To make the most of your afternoon, please be sure to bring your essential gear: binoculars, cameras, plenty of water, and sunscreen.
This is more than just a trip; it’s a chance to see some of what was described and shared last spring and celebrate the natural beauty of Martin County.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be a founding participant of the Nature Club!
